White Lily® Favorite Pancakes

1 ¼ cups White Lily® Enriched Bleached Self-Rising Flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 large egg, beaten

1 cup whole milk

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Butter, for serving

Maple syrup, for serving


Heat a lightly greased griddle.

Whisk together the flour and sugar in a medium mixing bowl.

Whisk together the egg, milk, and oil in a measuring cup.

Add egg mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just blended and still lumpy.

Pour about ¼ cup batter onto hot griddle for each standard-sized pancake or about 1 tablespoon batter for each silver dollar-sized pancake.

Cook till golden brown, turning once. Serve with butter and syrup.

Note: to substitute White Lily All-Purpose Flour for White Lily Self-Rising Flour, add 2 teaspoons of baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt to the all-purpose flour.

Makes about eight 4-inch pancakes or about 30 silver dollar-sized pancakes.
